A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,

Our December Steampunk Challenge

Hello and welcome back, dear readers and steampunk crafting friends!

It's time for a new challenge over here and to dive into Christmas too - only with a steampunk twist of course ;)

This month we want you to create

Santa's New Or Pimped Up Vehicle

Maybe Santa has decided to switch to a more modern vehicle or his old sleigh needed a technical make over..... show us what it is that he will come in this X-mas!

As long as your project is obviously steampunk oriented you can make it an "anything goes" - from 2D to 3D creations (for which we offer as always two separate collections). But, please, do also check our challenge rules (to be found on top of the page).

Again you blew us away with all your artful and creative entries for the november challenge! You are so great! Thank you all so much! Please, check back next saturday to see if you are the prize winner or among our Top3.

This month we also have another Guest Designer with us - please, welcome the lovely talented Maura from the "Two Crafting Sisters"! And - as we had expected - she created the most lovely and whimsical vehicle for Santa:

This is so gorgeous, isn't it?

And this is what Maura wrote us about herself to share with you all:

Hi, I'm Maura and delighted and honored to have been asked to be a guest designer here this month - I love challenges! I'm from upstate New York where I have a fantastic view of the Adirondack mountains from my craft space - great inspiration. My family is my husband, the artist and musician, two grown sons, and Jasper, our jack russell. I teach science and have a passion for art and crafting, I always have some project in the works. As a long time Sci-Fi and fantasy fan, I was ready for Steampunk! For me, it is the perfect blend of science and imagination, and I love to let it run wild. Santa's pimped out steampunk hot air balloon all started with a light bulb and a bucket...

Thanks Amelie and SanDee!

Crafty hugs...oops, watch the inky fingers,

Maura

Thank you so much, Maura, for your charming make and for being with us this month! We really love your balloon Santa comes in as it is such an enchanting project! Big hug and wishes!!!
